Our Bank has been accorded a high level of respect since its inception in 1991. This reputation is our most important asset and is a source of pride to everyone in the Bank. The Bank's continued success depends heavily on each staff doing his or her best to maintain and enhance our tradition of honesty, integrity, fairness, excellence, respect and concern for others.
Whilst Diamond Bank is keen at recording further progress and growth, it is important for employees to understand that the Bank is concerned not only with results but also with how results are obtained. We will never tolerate efforts or activities to achieve results for the Bank or for the individual staff through illegal or unethical dealings.
What follows in this booklet does not cover every possible subject or potential situation. Only broad areas of policy and principles which should guide us in our daily work. Detailed guidelines regarding many of our activities have long existed and those pertaining to your job are available to you through your supervisor. I should emphasize, as we always have, a principle that is not subject to change: we expect every Diamond Bank employee to live up to the highest standards of conduct in every business relationship with each other, with the company, with our customers, with suppliers and competitors.
Historically, ethical conduct in Diamond Bank has been developed and communicated by the manner in which we make and execute our daily decisions. However, as we continue to grow with a constant stream of new people into the Bank, it seems more appropriate than ever that we remind ourselves, and especially new employees, of what these standards and guidelines are in order to ensure consistency and uniformity in the way we operate our professional business. Therefore, I urge you to read this booklet carefully.
Diamond Bank's reputation and success is largely in your hands, and I expect you to strive to remain worthy ambassadors.
