Domicilliary Accounts print

This product allows customers to maintain accounts in currencies other than the naira. These accounts can be funded through inflows, cash deposits, travelers cheques or lodgment of foreign currency cheques.
Customers then have access to withdraw cash or make transfers to their accounts or other accounts offshore. Small businesses and corporate customers also use the funds to open letters of credit and not valid for foreign exchange (from the CBN).

The key benefit of the product is that it provides the services of an offshore account while guaranteeing local access to your funds.

Requirements for opening domiciliary account

  • Two specimen signature cards duly signed
  • Two passport photographs of each signatory to the account
  • Evidence of identity of each signatory to the account (preferably International passport or drivers license)
  • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation (for corporate organizations)
  • Board Resolution (for corporate organizations)
  • Individual or corporate account, Operational for the past six months.
